Program Objectives

The Land Registry and Cadastre Program aims to educate qualified professionals who can work under the title of Land Registry and Cadastre Technician. The program provides students with the fundamental knowledge and professional competencies required for maintaining land registry records and supporting the establishment and management of the land registration system. In line with the needs of the mapping, land registry, and cadastre sectors, the curriculum is designed to equip students with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills based on current scientific and technological developments.

Program Duration

The Land Registry and Cadastre Program is a two-year associate degree program. Students may choose to attend an optional English Preparatory Program before beginning their academic studies.

To graduate, students must successfully complete 90 ECTS credits of coursework and 30 ECTS credits of workplace training over four semesters, earning a total of 120 ECTS credits.

Graduates of the Land Registry and Cadastre Program have a wide range of employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors.

In the public sector, graduates may work in:

• Land Registry Offices
• The General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre
• The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change
• The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry
• Municipal departments responsible for zoning, public works, and infrastructure
• The General Directorate of National Real Estate
• The General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSİ)
• The General Directorate of Highways
• Turkish State Railways (TCDD)
• İller Bankası (Bank of Provinces)
• Other public institutions requiring mapping, surveying, and cadastral services

In the private sector, graduates may be employed by surveying and mapping companies, construction firms, engineering and consulting offices, land development companies, and real estate valuation firms. They may also establish and operate their own businesses by benefiting from government-supported entrepreneurship incentives.

Vertical Transfer Opportunities

Graduates who successfully complete the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) administered by ÖSYM are eligible to continue their education in selected bachelor's degree programs.
